Singapore PCC for non-citizens

Hello, I have received an ITA in the last draw. I wanted to know if Singapore will issue PCC with the ITA letter or if they need a request letter from CIC before they can process the certificate of clearance? Appreciate any response.

CIC will inform you when you need to obtain a PCC from Singapore.

Hey anandg12,

Just take your ITA to the Police Cantonment Complex and they'll issue you a COC. I just did it last month and they didn't need any extra letter from CIC.

Singapore fundamentally does not provide PCC's to non Singaporeans. But, they can on technical grounds. All you have to do is apply with an appeal form along with a demand draft, application form and the photograph.

Are you applying from within or outside SG? If you're in SG, it's fairly easy, fill out your documents and go there in person and give your fingerprints. If you're outside, it's more complicated. I applied for a Singaporeean PCC from within Japan and it took me well over a month to get it.

Also, you will need some sort of a document. As previously mentioned, try taking the ITA letter and see if it works otherwise you're going to have to ask the CIC agent to provide you with a formal letter once you're applying for your PR.

Hey kravichinnu, how long did it take you to get your COC, assuming you are in Singapore? Did they mail it directly to CIC or send it to you? Please let me know.

I am applying from within Singapore so hoping for a quick turnaround. Any idea on how long it might take? My deadline to submit e-APR is September 15th.

I think it takes about 2 weeks (10 working days) from the time you submit all your applications and fingerprint till the time you collect them in person. Just make sure you collect it in person and not have it sent through Singpost.

Should I mail my ITA letter and request for PCC or shall I wait for cic to issue a letter requesting the same?
Can I proceed with submitting/uploading my other documents and get 1st AOR or wait for PCC?

I applied with my ITA letter and requested for Singapore PCC and I was able to get the certificate of clearance in 7 business days. I applied from inside the country though, so your mileage may vary.

I applied with my ITA letter and requested for Singapore PCC and I was able to get the certificate of clearance in 7 business days. I applied from inside the country though, so your mileage may vary.
