Singapore COC Rejected

Hi,

My Spouse stayed in Singapore for more than 6 months and we are in the process of getting his Singapore Clearance of Certificate. Even though my spouse is not the Primary Applicant , after submission of enough documents , his Appeal for COC was Approved and he sent the Fingerprints along with Ack receipt as mentioned in SPF site. However ,after 5 business days , his COC Application is Rejected now.

We are unsure of what the reason could be ? He does not have any criminal records in Singapore .Only one reason we could suspect is : His passport was renewed after his stay in Singapore and in his Application for COC , he had mentioned his old passport number .

And we could not get any further information as to what our next steps are here ..Can anyone guide us on this if you have prior experience?

the renewal of the passport after his stay in SG should not be a problem. Mine was renewed after my stay in SG and I got my COC ...

Have you received the COC rejection notification by email ?
coz I got my COC appeal rejected the &st time I applied because SPF required the official letter from CIC (stating that I need to provide a PCC from SG) instead of the simple ITA letter ...
Therefore, I received an email notification stating the reason of the rejection.

If you have not received any reason(s) for this rejection you should call SPF or contact them by email (but they do not reply very fast by email as per my last experience ....)

We haven't received email so far.My spouse had mentioned his current passport number as his old passport number as he was staying in Singapore with that passport. He realized this mistake after he submitted the application and while sending the fingerprint , we attached a cover letter to explain this . We did not expect that this COC itself will be Rejected.

We are trying to Re Appeal and work on this process from scratch but the Site does not allow to Appeal again by stating that his FIN is locked and there is no information available for this scenario.

Yeah..We have sent them an email but they typically take 5 business days to respond and We will call them in their morning.But before that , wanted to hear from you folks ..

I got rejection as well but my FIN # was not locked when doing the new e-appeal ...quite strange indeed ...
the best is to keep calling SPF till you solve your issue ... don't expect too much from their email reply to your email request ... (as per my experience, if you are lucky enough, they can reply quite fast but generally they take a while to reply for more "complex" cases and sometimes they do not really give answers to your question ...)

Did you appeal get rejected or did your COC application (like OP) get rejected ? If you COC application got rejected, can you share what was the reason for rejection and how did you resolve it

indeed I should have specified it ... my COC e-appeal got rejected not my COC application (while skanya's situation is quite different as the COC e-appeal was approved but the COC application got rejected afterwards.

But in any case, the only way I see to solve this matter is to get in touch with SPF (through phone call or email) because if I am not mistaken, on SPF website there is no option to qolve directly in your e-COC application.

May we know form the OP on the status? Any definitive answer from SPF on rejection? Well, their doubt on the passport still holds merit, because Singapore COC is issued with the name and passport number.

mine's got rejected today just now. The status was pending finger prints yesterday. I tried to phone Spf. But it never went through. Which number did u call Spf?

we used the number from their site only . Just keep on calling them until it gets connected.

Application could have been Rejected due to system issue like ours, but confirm it by contacting them.
