Sin number - service canada not able to validate information

Hi
My residency status recently changed from work permit to pr. When i applied fro new sin number, service canada sent a mail stating they are not able to validate information on my provided document [i.e. my confirmation of permanent residency). I need to contact ircc to get a valid document or have ircc correct the record.
They didn't mention what record it is.
Has anybody experience similar situation and how did to resolve it?

COPR is valid document to change SIN, they should be able to validate it with no issue.

It's easier to apply for SIN online, employees provide wrong information sometimes, apply for new SIN online at:

I provided the copr while applying but they say this error of not validating the document.

You can apply to service canada once you have the physical pr card.

Has your COPR expired? If so, you will probably have to wait for PR Card.
