Hi,

Simple question, does IRCC share or validate the information they receive under the sponsorship application with CRA?

Thank YOU

No, CIC will not report whatever form of tax fraud you are committing to CRA....

Are you folks sure about this? Is there a policy prevent IRCC from reporting?

In any case, wouldn't tax fraud raise a credibility issue? If the sponsor lies to CRA, perhaps he lies in the application as well.

Yes, I'm sure. Privacy law prevents CIC from sharing such info with CRA.

It will not be an issue for the PR app.

I thought by submitting the application, the sponsor consent to the release info to all Canadian government authorities. See "Disclosure" at the bottom of IMM1344. Also see this article http://meurrensonimmigration.com/cic-to-begin-sharing-information-on-citizenship-applicants-with-the-canada-revenue-agency/

The sponsor consents to governments/agencies releasing their information to CIC, not the other way around.

The article you referred to is for citizenship apps and is under a very limited scope. Nothing to do with sponsorship.

Only if you are deemed a threat to national security.
