WES stopped taking request for re-evaluation (for report modifications or re-evaluation for Non-recognized institution reports), and for your kind information if your University is not in the WES list then surely you will get the report with Institution status as "Non-Recognized".

I just put a query to WES that it is recognized by DEC, UGC and all other councils in India and also mentioned that it is a part of Manipal Academy of Higher Education which is avl in the WES list.

In the first instance, they will not recognize, but you have to put a query once u receive the first report..If they feel that is genuine and recognized, then they will send the revised report woth the recognition status..

Yes i agreed on it but nowdays they are not processisng the requests for re-evaluation (report modifications) for non-recognized institution status.

In my report the bachelors are correct but they mentioned non-recognized institution status for my Masters credential......Once i got the report i sent the email with all the scanned copies as proof of my university recogniztion like (UGC letter, DEC letter, AICT approval letter, MHRD letter, letter from Governar etc.) stilllllllll not work. Many times i tried contacting them for modification/re-evaluation of my existing ECA but they said they are stopped taking requests for report modification from Non-recognized to recognized............Even i spoke with the supervisor the same answer i got.

So i would suggest all of you if your university is not in the WES list then please do not apply for the evaluation with WES......Try other designated organizations for ECA.

If your University is NOT RECOGNIZED by WES, then unfortunately, CIC cannot award you points for Education and this will render your application 'ineligible'.

You may double check this with any past applicants who have faced the same situation.

IF WES says Sikkim Manipal MBA is "Masters From Non-Recognized Institution", is there any chance that we can get it recognized by submitting to ICAS canada? I wrote to them and they say if the University was recognized by UGC, they will. But, they are first asking to apply to get the final result.

I cant say for sure but maybe yours will be equivalent to 2 or more post secondary diploma which may give you 22 points.

Since you have already submitted for WES - just hang on.

I M NOT SURE BUT UR DEGREE IS DISTANCE EDUCATION AND ITS NOT VALID.... ONCE AGAIN M NOT SURE.... I DID MY MBBS FROM MANIPAL UNIVERSITY KARNATAKA IN 2007 AND I RECEIVED MY ECA REPORT WITHIN 2 MONTHS...
