Signing Question on Canada Tourist Visa Online Application

Dear All,

I am applying online tourist visa for myself and my family (wife and kids). Can you please advise if i shall print out my wife and kids 5257e forms, sign them and upload scan copy or there is no need to sign them? What about my and my wife's 5645e family information forms? Print out date and sign or no need?

When I inquired about the same, I got this reply from IRCC (see below). However, I still uploaded a signed and scanned copy in the additional doc section.

"Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

An electronic signature is required at the end of the online application process in order to create a secure internet environment. This security feature was implemented according to the Privacy Act, to ensure a person's identity and personal information are protected.

When you sign electronically, you are declaring that the information provided in the application is true and that the supporting documents provided are genuine. This means that applicants are no longer required to physically sign an application which will have to be electronically validated when submitted online.

If needed, more information is available for you regarding the electronic signature as well as the online application.

We hope the information provided is helpful in assisting you with your enquiry."

Hi, 5257e form not required to sign by hand for online application and 5645e form require to sign and upload scanned copy

5257e you just need to type your name and submit online form
For family form you need to print, sign , scan and upload
