Significance of Employer NOC for Canadian Student Visa

Guys,

I will be filing my application to CHC Islamabad for student visa shortly. Currently, I am working in a public sector oil & gas organization.
I just want to know if submitting an NOC from my employer along with other documents is mandatory. If I submit it, will it in any way improve my chances of getting visa? What if I don't submit it? For me it's almost impossible to get an NOC due to lengthy procedures involved. I hope you understand.

Also, I have a small thing to discuss. I got Passport with current occupation as a student. However, currently I am a government employee. Do you think that could be a problem??

doesn't matter as long as you are relieved of your duties. however, if you aren't released from your duties, which they will cross check with your employer as you will be submitting work experience, it could be a problem. and another scenario is if your employer is sponsoring your program, they will be giving you a letter stating the same which again will be cross verified.

Did you give any experience certificate/letter along with visa documents?
It is very difficult to secure NOC and/or Experience letter from Government Organization, I can only provide proof of employment i.e. employment letter and pay slips as I have VERY LITTLE time to apply now for fall'2013 intake.

What do u suggest considering that I will fill out my employment details stating the current employment as a Government Job holder? :-\

Should I simply fill and attach employment letter and pay slips? Would it raise any objection on the mind of visa officer? :-\

My chosen field of study is MASc Civil Engineering and current job is also related to civil engineering.

What if I simply attach employment letters and pay slips? My intended program is MASc Civil Engineering (self funded) at UBCo and current job is also related to Civil Engineering. I intend to resign from my current government job and pursue higher studies and then return to teach at a good paying institution. What do you think? Will it be somewhat strong case scenario without production NOC and Experience letters?

Hi,
it is for Govt employees. there is a separate field in application form to mention that you have been working in a Govt agency.
I toked to many people, few told me that there is no need of NOC but consultant guys said that it is mandatory.
