Just one question for your theory,

what's the time they expected when Aug application submitted.

they hope in best 12 months, in worse 16 month , now most of them even didn't get MR .

so you change the expectation time. just because previous same theory failed, so you build another theory try to add clean backlog story .

I am sure everyone have imagination to add kinds of story : e.g summer vacation , refugee handling, election, oh, new year.


until the years waiting become true, you still can make new story , another summer vacation .

at last, you failed.

I don't make theories, I use hard facts and all you do is increase the frustration level of people by making them believe that CIC should have already dealt with their application (which is true) and that telling people who try to reassure them and prepare them for a long wait are just complotists who invent theories to defend the oh mighty CIC... (which is obviously false).

You are a true Don Quixote.

Read more carefully the processing time and at no point does it give you a timeline for your application, it gives a time line for the past processed applications. At some time it could be used as a prediction tool, however things changed, s*** happens and they implemented a new process that impacted negatively our applications. Well that's life and it sucks but using all your energy to fight it when all you do is complain and ask for people to be frustrated with you, walking along in the unhappiness of the application process, will not fix it, and will not help you (or others).

If you look at the time people wait for their PR card after landing, the processing time means, there again, nothing, however if you look at the thread, you will see that you can predict fairly accurately the time people will get their cards based on the dozens of applicants who posted their landing date and the date they received their card.

I did the same with the processing time, using 3 or 4 topics you can see that today it takes pretty much 16 months for it to be processed.

Now you can scream, and cry and panic and be frustrated about it, that's your right, and i think at some point through this process we all go through such a time, CIC not giving much information doesn't help people be more patient as we all feel that they do not even look at our application and that maybe something is wrong with it.
But that will not help you, that will not solve anything and that will ultimately only make you unhappy and make people around you unhappy.

I am not working for CIC and have no interest in slowing down your application or ruining your life despite what you seem to think.

I offered a timeline and advise on how to face this difficult waiting period. Take it or leave it it is your choice but there is absolutely no idea of success or failure in this discussion and seeing it like that is just not going to get you anywhere...

How about this petition,

if someone tell you the old left CEC will need wait years to get result. now half Sep almost gone, still no move on Aug. everything looks suspicious now.

what will you do now ?

if we don't sign it , wait years, we failed.

if we sign it , they may just abandon all the cases and try to face blame, we failed too, but they may start handle it too.

CIC didn't say about this - old CEC will need to wait years. To me, not confirming and giving out these info to applicants are one of the worst thing happening now. It does look a somewhat suspicious.

Similarly, CIC didn't give out any info on "global cap reached" for Nov/Dec 2014 applicants before they know it.

If CIC is going to be despicable and not to process CEC files, I'd prefer them being despicable now, than later.

I agree. waiting months and months by changing expectation again and again, it is kind of torture ,

We are patient , but there is a line . now totally no clue what's happening.

just announce everything stopped and we can get application back is much better , save time and money to try others.

Now you are just giving false information. CIC is still processing applications, there is a longer delay that part is true, but you saying that is detrimental to other applicants whose level of stress is already high... Do you have proof that they stopped processing? because not only you don't but there is proof that on the contrary they are still processing CEC applications.
