Recently I have explored that Sponsorship category is open for Canada/Alberta. My Sister-in-law is a Canadian citizen and lives in Alberta/Calgary. Can she be our sponsor, as she is a working lady.

What i need to know is, whether these are valid or not? Is there any IELTS requirements? If yes, then what's that, how much i need to score overall and in each section ?

she can only sponsor your family if the following two conditions apply:

"You may sponsor one relative, related by blood or adoption, of any age if you meet all of the conditions, including:

  • you don't have a living relative you could sponsor instead, such as a:
    • spouse
    • common-law partner
    • conjugal partner
    • son or daughter
    • parent
    • grandparent
    • brother or sister
    • uncle or aunt
    • nephew or niece
  • you don’t have any of the above-named relatives who is:
    • a Canadian citizen
    • a permanent resident
    • registered Indian under the Indian Act
If the relative you want to sponsor has a spouse, partner, or dependent children who will come with them to Canada you must include them on the same sponsorship application."

so unless she has no family in Canada, and both of her parents are dead, then she cannot sponsor you

The Alberta family sponsorship stream closed a long time ago. As explained above, in order for her to sponsor you and your wife, she must be single (unmarried and not common law), must have no children, both of her parents must be deceased and she must have no relatives living in Canada (e.g. other siblings, uncles, aunts, etc.).
