Hello all my lovely Canadavisa comrades.

Boy has it been one bumpy, crazy road. I just recieved word the my man is approved for PR in canada and will be receiving the COPR in the mail shortly. What a weight that has lifted. I want to thank the beautiful people of the forum for being supportive of eachother and cheering eachother on from start to finish. It is because of people like you that I kept my sanity this past year of compiling and sending in the GIANT package to Canadian Immigration. I really can't believe that in a few months I will be reunited with my love forever and I hope that all of you have that silver lining very VERY soon!!

Thank you again to all of you and remember it is not about the destination its about the journey to get there....this will make you stronger then you ever thought possible!!!

Soooo my experience,

We applied in Jan 11 2013 on our own with no help from immigration consultant or lawyer....we did it all on our own. After a few weeks I was approved as my bfs sponsor and it was then sent to Paris. The application was in process until about the beginning of April and then was in Decision made mode for nearly 2 and a half months. I just sent an email last week to enquire and got a msg the next day saying we were approved and to confirm my bfs mailing address!!

I hope that helps :)

Overall good experience but wish they corresponded more about what was going on so I wasn't on edge all the time.

Cheers!
