@Ajoy the king: Quebec does not require that you speak French. It definitely helps a big time, you get quite some points but you can get the necessary points without any knowledge in French at all. Proficiency in French brings you 16 points - you have to reach 55 out of 107. Each case is different and only going through the Quebec immigration evaluation tool will show if you are eligible without any French knowledge. Taking some French lessons however, may bring you additional points (adaptability) during the interview if you have to pass it.

@DSD: What concerns the funds - yes, it is more expensive to go through Quebec in terms of fees. For a couple you will need to count around $4,000 including fees for translations, health exam etc. compared to around $3,000 on the federal side. HOWEVER, the big difference comes in when you have to show your proof of funds. Quebec requires that you have $4,288 for two adults when landing compared to $13,827 on the federal side.

Concerning the choice of country, there are a lot of criteria to take into consideration. I am not familiar with the Australian immigration system but aware that SAP resources are very scarce. There are a couple of companies which will arrange the visa for you (ex. Accenture Australia). But choosing your country goes far beyond the simple visa process and professional perspectives. Do you like the culture? Weather? Some people have family or friends in one country which makes a huge difference especially in the first weeks and months etc. etc. It really depends and it is a very personal decision which only you can take.
