should i upload passport online too although i have sent it to islamabad by vfs

I received request letter from london visa office to submit passport via vfs to islamabad visa office high comission of canada.but since then there is new option to upload passport in my online account having deadline .my account status is "your action is required" should I upload online too ???although I already have submitted passport physically. Any one can help.

If whole process is at the initial stage then uploading would be OK. But if it is at say final stages then only real passport is what they need. SO use VFS.

Ok thanks.Letter is saying the process at final stage where they need passport for visa stamp.
