Hey All,

So I am under CEC and in the Ottawa Pilot Project. I got the request for medicals a week ago, only couple of weeks after the "We have received your application... It was sent to CPP-O" e-mail. Got the medicals done couple of days ago and there is a confirmation page that I need to send to Ottawa. I have couple of questions though.

  • The doctor said if there is anything with the medicals, she will let me know through e-mail before sending anything to Ottawa. Otherwise, I will not hear anything from her, and in a week I can assume that everything is ok. Should I just go ahead and send the confirmation page right now without waiting for anything?
  • The guide says wait until we ask you for the RPRF fee (assuming I am approved), but I hear people say you should send the certified cheque right away to avoid delays. Is this true? Should I just include the cheque along with the confirmation page and send it to Ottawa? The reason I am asking is because (after some reading on the web) it seems like with the CPP-O office getting the medical forms doesn't really mean anything and is done for possible faster processing in case you do get approved later on. My forms however, did say I should get the medicals done immediately, so I am not sure. Anybody has a similar story?
  • I had my passport extended in the meantime, should I photocopy the page with the stamp and send it along with the other documents as well? I am guessing I'll need to include some kind of a explanatory letter along with it all.

Thanks!

Hey HuckFinn, can you post your application timeline?

the doctor will take care of sending the medical reports ....... Ecas will show "Medicals received" 2 to 3 weeks later after they received the medical results....

regarding the RPRF feee....wait for the passport request mail from CIC and then pay it later stage.....
