Yes, it is a very good idea!!! It shows the strength and genuineness of your marriage. I did this, send it (mail it) to the visa office processing the application, I also wrote up a short letter to explain my visit and sent boarding passes with the photos. Trust me, it can prevent you from getting an interview.

No need. The requirement is 20 photos at the time of applying. If they want more, they will ask for it.
If your relationship is genuine and u have already provided enough documents and photos then I don’t think it’s necessary! I mean you don’t know how the visa officer might interpret this doing !!

No. The checklist doesnt say anywhere to send extra photos. If IRCC has questions they will contact you and request extra photos. Do not send more than what is required

on what grounds? who knows that the application would be rejected... they would be asked for additional proof and an interview before a rejected application

This is bad advice. Do not send anything additional unless it's requested. If they're not requesting anything it's because they do not need anything additional.
Rejection and appeal !! Wooow u took it way too far !! The process is simpler and easier than what we think !!
