In order to apply under the CEC class, I went to see 3 immigration consultants and none of them was able to give me a clear answer on whether I should retake the IELTS test or not.

My IELTS score is L:5.5 R:6.5 W:5.5 S:4.5 ~ overall 5.5 and I gained my work experience in Canada in a NOC B job and from my understanding they could accept this results if the following statement is still valid.

If you have qualifying Canadian work experience at Skill Level B of NOC, your test results must match the CLB/NCLC below(see chart):
(a) ◦5 or higher for each of those abilities, or
(b) ◦4 for any one of those abilities, 5 or higher for any other two of those abilities and 6 or higher for the remaining ability.

Also, please note this statement remains only in the CEC guide ~ OP 25.

Does anyone know if the statement above is valid still?

I hope someone can help me.

Thank YOU very much!!!

As fas I am concerned about your information, you have to re-take IELTS test.

Since 02 Jan 2013, CEC language requirements is change.

This is old one.

if you want to get new informations, you will be able to check cic home page.

Good luck~

There are two op25 docs - one is op25a I think. One is pre 02 01 13 and one is post. I think you are referring to the older one.

You need to retake the exam.

as per new rules you should get below scores to apply PR in CEC

NOC O or A - all sections more than 6
NOC B - Listening/Speaking/Writing - 5 and Writing -4 (better to score more than 5 in all sections)

refer below link for more details
