i got overall CLB 7 :( so i missed out 12 important points in transfer-ability factor plus less points in language (118/140)

My overall score is 412 in CEC

if i improved my ielts score i definitely go up to (412+12 +(at least 10 points for higher score) = 430-ish.
is it gonna be worth it?
there is no ielts session before the draw (last week of jan),so i guess i would go into first draw with 412.

my employer is also looking into LMIA for me but i don't see that happening in the next 1 month atleast ( missing 2/3 draws for sure) and not sure about the outcome, if its gonna be positive LMIA or not.

i am just afraid that the first draw is gonna be lower (like 430-ish ) and i am gonna miss out and after that even if i am 430-ish i will not get ITA because its gonna be more competition (as lmia and pnp come into play more than the first draw)

Or may be the first draw is really high - 600+points than i would just waste my ielts fee and there would be no chance of getting ITA until I can get LMIA even in future draws.

asking this because should i register for ielts or not?

It's always best to plan for the worst, if you can improve your score, plan to do that. You may get lucky and be selected without but it's worth doing it anyway.

I would say just wait for the first draw! You will know exactly what to do after. Considering you are not picked in the first one.

Did you get you education outside Canada accessed? I'm missing out about 54 points if I don't :'(

Dont worry . THe cut-off score would lie above 400 for sure . If they filter at 430 / 450 + then don't think there would be many candidates and again its me that thinks this .

Lets wait and see. I stand above 400 too for FSW and i can improve my score a bit too but ill wait to get more clarity once the first draw finishes . First draw is not the end of the world . ;)

CIC said there will be 20k+ ITAs for CEC this year, I have a feeling that all CEC applicants will be picked up at some point this year.

That seems to be very likely outcome. Hence they are pushing for job bank registration
