Should I raise a web form?

Hello! As you all know, CIC recently introduced 2 stage approval process for international students and stage 1 (Approval in principle) doesn't require applicants to submit biometrics. Some people (Nigerian applicants as far as I remember) posted on this platform that they received stage 1 approval sometime around last week. I guess CIC must have solid backlog for India given the huge number of applicants. So, is it advisable to raise a web form to inquire about the status? Also, did anyone from India receive stage 1 approval recently?

Below is some background info:

- I submitted a complete online application on April 06th' 2020 and got biometrics request on April 07th' 2020. Since then, I got no update.
- I am a returning student (September 2016 intake) and my previous study permit expired on July 08th' 2020.
 
if the normal processing time has exceeded for your application, I don't see why you should not. i did the same and received an approved in principle email.
