Should I purchase the air ticket for 16 Hours Canada Transit Visa application?

Hi there,

I just applied for Canada airport transit visa and submitted the air ticket booking itinerary which will be expires within 24 hours because It was booked online and haven't paid the price yet. I have mentioned this on my petition at the application submission time and I said I will purchase ticket immediately if I have been approved the transit visa.

My flight will be from Dhaka to Barbados via YYZ and layover would be 16 hours.

I will not take any luggage to avoid problem that's why only will keep a backpack with me.

I heard that people saying I must have to purchased the ticket to get Canada transit visa otherwise my application will be rejected!

Is it true? or submitted only online booked ticket itinerary is fine for the approval of transit visa?

Your itinerary raises a lot of red flags. It screams potential asylum application. Don’t book any flights. An itinerary is fine and it doesn’t negatively impact your application.

First of all, I really don't understand what you meant, I have Barbados 12 Months Welcome Stamp Visa as a Digital Nomad and going to fly there via YYZ for 16 hours layover and for that I just booked a ticket online which expired within 24 hours. So is it fine or I could send purchased ticket copy to them?

It's best to buy a ticket. If you buy a ticket, make sure it's refundable in case the visa is refused.

Thank you very much. But there is no refundable option for those connecting flights that's why I've submitted the booking copy. All airlines asks for full payments and no refund option.

In that case you'll have to see if IRCC accepts the itinerary.

I have already submitting my application online with only online flight booking copy but Now I fund few website that they are offering confirmed flight itinerary in a small amount cost. So is it fine if I purchase flight itinerary from those website and submit it to visa office when my bio metrics would be taken?

There is really no need. Depending on how much they are asking I would just submit the itinerary. Most do not show a flight. Only taking a backpack to fly across the world is quite unusual.

Yes. That is what most people submit.
