Hi all,

I submitted my express entry profile a few months ago. But due to the backlogs, I guess they will start reviewing my application almost 2 years later, right?
So I've decided to apply for a study visa while I'm waiting for my EE application.

Now my question is, should I mention that I have an active EE application and I want to do a course in Canada to increase my CRS score of my EE profile? And not actually lie and convince the officer that I will return to my country after graduating?

I am pre-ITA in Express entry and i applied for a study visa and got approved.
i did not mention being in the EE pool, as i have not even received an ITA yet, so that doesn’t mean anything, and in my opinion, is not worth mentioning in the SOP yet. If anything, it will only make your SOP weaker.
you don’t have to promise to them that you will 100% return to your homecountry, you just have to state that you are not going to overstay your visa, talk about your travel history, thatyou have never overstayed a visa etc. Because in theory, you could travel anywhere you wish after graduation, not necessarily your home country.
Hope this helps ans good luck!
