I don't like writing a lot (with pen and paper). That is why my handwriting is not that good and I am really slow writer. I gave IELTS paper based twice before and never completed the essay. Infact I never made the 250 words mark either.
I was a computer programmer and my typing speed is 59 words per minute. So writing 500 words in 60 minutes is a piece of cake for me. I remember when I gave the computer based IELTS, I completed the essay in 15 minutes and kept re-reading it for spelling and punctuation mistakes.
If your typing speed is good and if you dislike writing on paper, you should try this.
