Should I give my Biometrics in India or the USA? How many days do they take to send passport request?

Hi,

I have an option to travel to the US to give my biometrics. What is the quicker option? Should I wait for December 2nd book an appointment in India and then wait for passport request. Or travel to the US and do it. Which option is quicker?

Also, does anyone know how long does it take to receive a passport request after biometrics submission? And how long do they take to return the passport after submission?
