Hi everyone,

I am in the path of starting the application to sponsor my husband. I have savings and OSAP funding and loans, however I want to know if any of you that know more than me about this process think that it would be recommendable for me to get a job in order to increase the chances of being approved for the sponsorship.

Thanks!

Without knowing details, most probably yes.

it would increase the chances of getting sponsor approval early, but u can still apply without having a job

Really depends on your savings, your spouses savings, whether he is working and whether he has a job lined up for when he arrives in Canada, whether you have a clear path to a job after you graduate and will graduate soon, whether you have family can provide financial support and can provide proof they have additional savings to support you and your spouse, etc.
