Guys, I really need some insight with this issue as I am getting mixed feelings after checking the past discussions.

I currently live in OR, USA. I am going to drive up to BC either this or next Friday to get my landing formalities done. I am planning to stay for a day and come back to the US. I still need to wrap stuff up here and am currently planning to move up to Vancouver, BC at around April 2009.

Question is, if I drive my car from the US, will they ask me to do the import now? If they force me to do it, will that cause any problems when I drive back to the US? Should I just rent a car?

It would be great if somebody with similar experience provides some feedback. Also, if you imported your car, can you please tell me the formalities involved and the cost?

Thank you in advance for your time...

Put your car on the list of goods to follow and tell them you are not importing it now but will do it later.
