Good day,
My Canadian friend invited me to spend my birthday in Canada as well as to tour the place. As I was going over the TRV form I noticed that in the marital status section they only have 'legally' separated' as an option. Thing is I have been separated from my (ex) husband since 2006. We dont have communication since then. I have no idea of his whereabouts nor his address or occupation. The last thing I heard about him is he already has a family (partner and child). By the way, we dont have children of our own nor a property to argue about as it was a whirlwind union.
I am currently a resident of Qatar (since 2008). I am confused which option to click on that form. I dont want to make mistake nor not be accurate about my statements. All i want is to enjoy this vacation and i dont want this matter to be questionable to immigration offier. My application has to be clear as we dont have embassy here therefore we have to send everything to Abu Dhabi embassy. Should i still declare I am married in this case? what should I write about his address and occupation? will it be a problem if I click legally separated? Or will it help if i click married and provide a written explanation about the situation as I have no idea what my ex have been doing since we separated. I dont want to be implicated later on for whatever things he had been doing especially for legal matters. Will really appreciate your prompt response. Thanks in advance.
