Hi, everyone, i have submitted my application last year in aug, i am thinking about changing the job now as my employer does not treat me good and always yells at me without a reason. Therefore, i really i want to get rid of here, even though the paid they are giving is reasonable 17/hr, but i dont feel happy while staying here. i am just wonder if i got another job, which the paid is significantly lower than the current, like $11-12/hr, in that case, should i take the other job? would that change afftect my appplication, thanks

Nicole.

Im sorry to hear your employer is acting like an a.hole!

CEC applications are evaluated only on the basis of information given up to the date you applied your application on. Even if you loose your job the day after you applied for CEC, it will NOT impact on your application at all. In your case, you are concerned about lower paid salary. And that is also completely harmless to your application.

As far as i know, salary doesn't have any impact on CEC application. Its all about the skill level 0,A or B.

All the best nicole. And yea change the job. That employer doesn't deserve a hardworking person like yourself.

Just remember that CIC sometimes calls your employer to confirm about your job and duties.... so if you leave, don't leave on a bad note or fight with your boss ;D

Hi nicole,

is your employer a big firm (500+ with networks throughout North America) or a small one (just in TO).

If its a big firm, they usually have an HR division. HR people always give a standard information to anyone, your duration of employment, your title. Not sure if they'd even talk about salary (as it changes from person to person - even on same title) and its extremely unlikely that an HR person will say bad words about you to an immigration officer. I was in a similar situation, and i gave my HR director's contact on my CEC application. I believe they've called him and confirmed all my employment details.

However, if its a small firm and you gave the contact of your boss on your CEC application - then yea. its better to be cautious, play safe and smile every time your boss says something nasty. Yea, kill'em with your kindness :)
