Hi Guys. My study permit is refused twice for business analysis course at Fanshawe College on grounds of 1. Won't return back to your home country. 2. Course is irrelevant to your previous studies and work ex. What should I do now? Should I change my course
My profile is : 10th - 8.6 CGPA, 12th 68.4%, Btech in IT 7.8 CGPA (no backlogs)
2018 graduate.
* Started my own company related to talent acquisition (10 months)|
* Worked as an IT Executive at a MNC for 1.1 Years
* Working as a Business analyst intern in a company from 4 months.
Please guys spare some time and share your views.
With all experience especially being an IT Executive, there is no reason to go to a college (spend thousands) for a business analysis course. You should look at MBA or Masters Tech. That will address the irrelvancy.

Thank You for your reply. At Fanshawe C, the course is of 1 year with co-op with only 10 credits.
Now, I've applied at Cape Breton University which offers 2 Years Post Baccalaureate Diploma in Business Analysis. I believe, BA course is pretty much related to people from an IT background. What's your take on this if I try to defend my case with a strong SOP? that being a BA intern, I would like to enhance my skillset on this domain and acquire a higher position in any organisation.

The VO is wondering why you need to spend thousands of dollars to go to Canada to do a diploma in business. How do you justify the cost of your studies? Does your home country not have such courses?

BA is not pretty much related to IT background, though someone with Business Background, can do some basic IT related course and become good Business Analyst. The World we are now, there are ERP that make job of analyst easier. Going forward with BA, does not address "course relevancy", you are going to do diploma, but the one at Cape Breton is 2years Diploma...
