Should I apply now or wait?

With all the rumors regarding the new immigration rules, should I apply now or wait? Since they have not posted anything yet, if I apply now, will they process my application under the old rule or will they wait?

The old rules finished on Feb 2008 so everything after that is on the new rules, I'll wait, but this is my personal opinion. everybody who send their application after Feb are waiting, nothing is moving now.

I am also in the queue. Just keep waiting & worrying & there's still not even one word from the visa office yet.

I keep my mind busy selling all my stuff, (eBay, Craig List, Amazon, Yard Sales, etc) also scanning all important information, less weight on your moving day the better and cheaper.

I do not understand is that since they do not have any changes to the immigration laws, they should be able to process all applications filed after Feb. 08 normally. Why are they holding on the applications filed after Feb. 08? Where does it say that if you apply after Feb. 08, your application will not be processed until new rules come out?

I have read that RETAIL TRADE MANAGER has a good future prospect. I have looked all over the internet and some websites give some info regarding the best job position and Retail Trade Manager is one of them. I was thinking about applying right now. Any advice?

Really, it's up to you. You have to make that decision. Nobody knows when the new rules are coming out exactly. Could be tomorrow, could be in December.

Read the above posts, applicants submitted on or after Feb 27, 2008 are to be processed under the new rules.

Personally I would apply now just to get a queue number. At the same time, think of alternate plans (PNP, TWP, other country? ) in case you don't qualify under the new rules. Hope for the best, and plan for the worst.

Oh, and while waiting for the new rules to be announced, live on your life as per normal.
