Hi,

I was wondering for CEC PR Application, for travel history, Should connecting Flights through the United States be included in the travel history? My passport was stamped in the US when passing through for a connecting flight, but I didn’t go into the US, I was just catching a connecting flight. Since my passport was stamped, should the US be included in my PR application’s travel history section? Or is it OK to leave it out of the travel history section?

Thank you

If your passport was stamped, you should include it since you were technically admitted to the US, even if you left a few hours later.

Thank you for your response! I have actually submitted my application and I just realized my passport was stamped. Would it be a good idea to send in an explanation LOE through the web form?

Yes, no harm in being thorough and covering all your bases. Simple enough to send a quick LoE.

Okay, I will send a letter through the web form. To clarify, should I modify the LOE I included in my application to have this additional explanation about the travel history and send that through the web form, or should I just submit a new letter containing only the explanation about the travel history?

Just send a new letter. It'll be short and sweet, no more than one paragraph. Doesn't make sense to mix it up with the previous LoE that dealt with other subjects.

Hello all, I have a follow up question on the connecting flight. How exactly do I write in the travel history section?

for example, in May 2016, I went back to China from Canada passed through US
In in June 2016 I come back to Canada, also passed through US.

Do I put 2 separate records?
1. May 2016 to June 2016, country of visit: US
2. May 2016 to June 2016, country of visit: China

Thank you so much for your advise.
