Should CIC be informed about change in marital status

Hello,
My friend applied student visa from India year ago and she was approved. She mentioned marital status as single. But after approval she married in India and arrived in Canada.They registered their marriage before her to come Canada. Now her husband wants to apply Open Work permit as he is eligible.

My question is :-
How to inform IRCC that she married after approval.
Or they dont need to inform IRCC about changed marital status after approval?

How would her husband be eligible for SOWP if he does not inform IRCC?

My understanding is that as the husband is applying he would list her as his spouse. Or if she ever - god forbid - has to renew her visa she'd be listing him as spouse in her own application.

Don't listen to me though, but rather the experts around here.

She can send a web form to IRCC to inform them about the change in her marital status. Her husband must apply for a SOWP by including the marriage certificate, etc
