Just a quick question.

After doing my research across the net, it seems that Australia currently has the fastest immigration/PR Processing system compared to most countries you can currently immigrate to i.e Canada and New Zealand, (I purposefully left out the US because it is a lottery. No GUARANTEES)

It is a slightly more expensive application process than Canada's, also remember that their currency is much stronger than Canada's however...after evaluating your occupation category and education (about a month), your application will usually be processed within 5-7 months, assuming you have all the required documentation and no hiccups. It used to be a very slow process, about 3 years but after they revamped their system in 2014, applications now go through very fast.

Just weighing my options although I will definitely go with Canada. What do you guys think?

In the end it is your decision. The factors to be considered while making a decision to migrate should not solely depend on how fast the file is processed. Other important factors are
1. Ease of getting a job
2. Cost of living
3. Benefits like health, education etc
4. Societal and familial ties
5. Quality of life (I wouldn't say Australia is better than Canada or vice versa, it is a subjective matter, you know what you look for when you think of standard of living)
6. Other Factors

Re: Should Canada Emulate Australia's PR System

True. I am probably more biased towards Canada but I just wanted to let people weigh in their opinions...although the quicker immigration process is slightly attractive, for folks who may be tired and just want to immediately leave their present surroundings lol 8) :) :) :)

So what advantage (in terms of speed of processing) does Australia (1 month + 5-7 months, according to you) have over Canada's Express Entry (around 6 months for most applicants)?

And I hope I am not offending anyone in saying this: if you are not white, Australia may not be a good place for you.
