My mother is a housewife from India and father works in the US. Now although my mother has sufficient funds in savings and FDs including her account where my father remits his salary from the US, but some ppl told me to show father's US bank statements, last salary slip and US tax returns too to show the true source of income.

Now the only problem is that my father's US bank balance goes really low with all the expenses plus remittance... for example, May's ending balance was $1300 while June's ending balance was only $400.. that is what's worrying me..

One agent even said it's okay to show only my mother's assets, etc. but as she's a housewife, I'm not sure if that would be risky.. infact, in her invitation letter, I've written that food/travel/insurance expenses will be covered by her...

What do you guys suggest? Should I include father's stuff or not? Thank you so much. ;)

You are not getting the nature of the request. The bank statement is used to show that you can sustain yourself, that is either that you have money or that you have an steady income. ANY of both.

In here you have to think if it makes sense that staying at home those 400 dollars are going to be sufficient for a trip abroad (supposedly you will be sepnding MORE when travelling than when staying at home). No one can tell but you.
