Shortstay in Toronto

please advice for a short term stay (for a week or two) when landing in Toronto, with a 3yr old kid,
which is the best option 1, apartment hotels,
2, rooms with kitchen etc,

please advice for a shot term stay in and around Toronto, before we find a apartment to stay,
those who have landed please share your experiences...

This is the best and cheapest option , will cost you around CAD $ 45/- Per Day.
Get membership of "International Youth Hostels" , and proceed

I also used airbnb.com
Not cheaper than hotel, but at least you stay in an apartment instead of a hotel room.
