Hi All,
I would really appreciate your advice on an urgent matter that popped up recently. Unfortunately, i was not able to find much guidance around this topic so i`ll greatly appreciate any input that you have.

I had received my COPR & passport with immigrant visa sticker in October`17 and I have a COPR validity till March 2018. I intend to travel to Canada in Feb 2018 to claim my PR status (this will be my first travel to Canada after getting COPR).

My question is;
a) Can i travel to another country (not Canada) on short term basis before moving to Canada (in Feb`18) using my existing passport with the Canada Immigrant Visa sticker and will the latter have any effect on my Visa processing for the country I intend to visit?

b) Do i have to notify IRCC on any travels (& reasons for travel) subsequent to issue of COPR

Your responses will be highly appreciated.
Thank you

a) yes.
b) no.

As far as I know only when you cross by land to US with a sticker on your passport you are asked you to flagpole and become a canadian PR before entering US as a Canadian PR.
