Hi there ,

My refugee claim was accepted and wondering what is next now ?
-How many steps are there to obtain the PR card ?
_how long does it take ?
-Is it faster to apply in Alberta Or Sk/MB ?
-Does the new legislation has anything to do with convention refugee PR application ?

Thank you.

You have 180 days to apply for the PR . It takes 17 monts to get your PR thats if all all your application was send and nothing missing ..... Everywhere is the same except Quebec it takes more time cuz you have to be accepted by Quebec too

Hi There,

Salem .
You have to be calm whatever they say to you. They want to see your self control .
They will keep looking unto your eyes . Eyes and body languge it gives Idea about the person if his saying the truth .
Read your PF again and again . When they ask you things be sure to answer the right answer which is in your PF
if you speak good english then you dont need a transleter . They will see that you are able to live here and talk to people . Get a job .
Dont be too much worry . Some people they lose thier hair cuz they think too much ..
Good Luck

Thank you for both of you. Yes this will be an important issue. However, the fear of the future and the outcome are furstrating me. By the way, I am PhD Candidate; I plane to complete my degree withing few months. Is the education level, and the fact of I never asked for any financail assisstant during my stay in Canada have any credit to my claim?
Thank you

Hi Dr. Salem, I need to ask you a few questions, my email is hobatoaa@yahoo.com.
I will be entering canada as a student, and I am thinking of asylum seeking. If my refugee claim was refused will I be deported despite holding a student visa ?

Hi Salem, did you begin your PhD in Canada or in your country before arriving in Canada?
