Hi guys,

So my previous experience in the UK was selling delegate spaces ( tickets ) to the pharmaceutical industry. I would also sell them research, and training materials following the event. I have 1 year at one company, but I'm short by 2 weeks. I then moved on to another financial company and did the same job there for 3 months but rather than it focused at pharmaceutical it was focused at finance.

Now, they are both going to be classed under technical sales. ( well I'm hoping they will )

But then i saw this - ii. How many years of skilled foreign work experience do you have? It must have been continuous, paid, full-time (or an equal amount in part-time), and in only one occupation.

Can i use both companies to boost my experience to over 1 year? as its under the same NOC? or does that mean i need 1 year in one company?

Any advice?

Regards,

Oli

Sadly, it has to be exactly 1 year (52 weeks) or more ---- and your foreign experience has to be continuous - that is, two periods of employment separated by a small gap of unemployment would not be considered 1 year of continuous experience.

What If my previous employer would state i started two weeks earlier? giving me the full year. CIC will only ask for a reference letter stating date i started,Job roles. thoughts? If i said, June - june and rounded it up?

you really think CIC will not ask your first pay cheque, and your last one, + NOA / T4 if you worked exactly 52 weeks ... ?? you better not lie to CIC as you can be banned for a couple of years.

Usually, they ask for payslips (beginning, middle, end) to provide with your application or ask for it later.
If you cannot provide your first payslip with your starting date on it, you cannot prove it.
Never lie!

Have you had both options, Working Holiday and IEC used? Maybe you can add another year with Working Holiday.

But you have at least 1 year of Canadian experience, so you may be eligible for the Canadian Experience Class program. Just make you, you get enough points together somehow. Doing a French test also adds a few more points.
