Hi guys,
Thanks so much for responding to my questions. I've found your different points and ideas, and your discussion, very helpful
Maybe the PRTD route won't be such a bad idea, although the po box one is interesting. It's a real pity that cic won't send the pr card to England. I'd happily pay a high fee for this. Better still, not have the card at all, like other countries. I find this whole situation completely absurd quite frankly.
Out of interest -
A) is it definitely ok to touch down and leave a few days later? The cic official won't be bothered about this? Will they ask how long I'm staying for?
No, It is very common. It is called Soft Landing. CBSA officer don't expect immigrants to move permanently right away. They know you will need time to move here. Don't forget to inquire about taxes exemption while you do soft landing as it will help you bringing your necessary belongings without paying any taxes
B) which photo do they use for the pr card? Is it the digital one uploaded to my cic or a new one I provide on landing?
The one you send for COPR (50mm X 70mm)
Many thanks again.
