Short Landing in Toronto

Hi, it's a little be early to ask this, I just want to prepare myself
I will be landing later this year, me and my wife with no couples

I provided proof of fund of roughly 20k CAD for the application

Now with the short landing , some questions

Is the declaration range of the cash on me and my wife is 10K for both of us, or 10K each of us,

Do I have to carry all the money with me for short landing ? Or I can only bring 5k, and an account statement for the rest,

Can I provide a friend's address for the PR card, or I can't say it's a short landing !


Now if I decide to land for good, does my wife has to be with me at first ? Since I am the main applicant, can I go first and then she follows after few months hopefully after I land a job ?

You can bring as much as you want. Only 2 rules. One, declare upfront if you're carrying more than $10,000. Two, you might be asked for POF so be prepared for that, POF need not be cash-in-hand.

Can I provide a friend's address for the PR card, or I can't say it's a short landing ! You can give a friend's address.

Now if I decide to land for good, does my wife has to be with me at first ? Since I am the main applicant, can I go first and then she follows after few months hopefully after I land a job ?

You can land alone. Your spouse has to make their landing before the expiry date on their COPR.
