Major updates:
- PEQ graduates have to be in the List of Areas of Training under the PEQ – Graduates (in French only – 437 kB). This list contains the areas of training in Québec that best respond to job market needs.
- PEQ job experience: must be in the demand list also / hold a job on the List of Jobs in Demand eligible under the PEQ - workers component (in French only – 243 kB)
- PEQ job NOC C,D increase from 12 months to 18 months
- The spouse in CSQ must also demonstrate French B2
- Pass the Quebec value test (Attestation of the learning of democratic values and Québec values expressed in the Québec Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms). Effective: 1/1/2020
They officially send us out of Quebec :(

Hi,

I graduated with a DEP in technical support of 1800h this summer but unfortunatly didn't have time to apply for CSQ on time. I am currently working in my field as well.
I didn't see my program in the list above, so mean I can't apply to the CSQ? that's really annoying:(

you cannot apply through PEQ program, but you can apply through regular CSQ program.

you mean using Arima ? so I am currently working since 4 month in my field, I speak french and english, my brother is citizen here and I am 23 years old so not much experience as I just graduated.
Thanks for any advice regarding that as I don't want to wait until I get 1 year experience then be surprised that government cancelled or changed PEQ again.

Updates for people already in quebec seeking a CSQ through PEQ

Hi - If I got a masters in Media Studies from Concordia University's Communication and Journalism department, does that mean that I'm not eligible for the PEQ Graduate program?

All these changes are making me panic.

Dear Kuangnam,

My name is Martin Patriquin. I am the recently-hired Quebec correspondent with The Logic (https://thelogic.co), which reports on Canada's hi tech and artificial intelligence sectors.

I'm writing a story about the Quebec government's attempts to change the criteria to the PEQ program, and the effect of these attempts on the people studying and working here.

I would love to hear about your experiences here in Quebec, and how these changes would have affected you. Do you think we could chat?

My email is martin.patriquin[at]thelogic.co

Hope to hear from you soon.
