- LANDED..........

My wife has PR and has landed but not settled in Canada earlier this year.
Unfortunately the sale of our properties is not going to plan. My parents are awaiting our arrival as I am to care for them (part of the reason I am returning to Canada) I have already delayed moving twice. So now we are in a quandary as how to manage the move.
I could move before my wife but I would need to declare my belongings and move some of them along with me. Mainly computer and displays that I use in my work along with my son's music equipment and some storage (chest of drawers and some boxes).
Then the wife will move hopefully soon after within say, six months, and by then I would have a flat and would need the remainder of our belongings (dining tables, chairs, sofa, china and her vast collection of clothes!). She wants to empty the house and live with relatives until properties are sold.
I don't really want to pay double for shipping, but don't know what my options are here.
Wife was asking if I could take all her goods along as well and just declare them as mine - suppose it won't matter really as also declare son's stuff in my declaration. Then she would bring remainder items on air freight when she lands.
Or maybe there are some storage options in UK?
Anyway, confused.
Hopefully someone has some advice on this.
Thanks,
Salik.
