Unlikely as it is NOC 1521 level C. CEC has to be skilled work.

Yeah, I also checked that , it says 1521, but I cant understand that, may I apply for CEC or not?

Yes. The job must be at skill level O, A or B. Yours is skill level C.

OMG, i was accumulating 500 hours and now it means I cant apply

What can I do, nothing just go and die..

Now it means that I need to look for something else and quit my current job since I cant apply as CEC. I am so sad now. Dont know what to do ..

Try not to panic. Looking for another job is a good idea and make sure it's skilled this time.

I panic now, seriously, thanks God that I have years to go to my actual WP expiration.
I ll look for the new job even in other provinces.
anyways , it s hard to get in, and even harder when it comes to segregation of jobs..

well, it's something.. looking for a new employer. maybe you should try both... my suggestion, try to ask for promotion. make sure that the promotion to a new position will be a skilled level. or you can find a new employer with a skilled level position. now you have 2 options... cheers

I still cant understand which kind of jobs can I have and which not.
It s getting hard time to me ..

This link explains in great detail with examples: http://www.hrsdc.gc.ca/eng/lp/lo/lswe/we/ee_tools/data/noc/overview/noc.shtml

Example 2: Technical Records Clerk = NOC 1413 where
1 = skill type; 4 = skill level; 1 = minor group; 3 = unit group

For Type O, the 1st digit starts with 0 - example NOC 0511
For skill level A, the 2nd digit will be 1 - example NOC 2121
For skill level B, 2nd digit will 2 or 3 - example NOC 1211
For skill level C, 2nd digit is 4 or 5 - example 1413 or 1521(your NOC)
For skill level D, 2nd digit is 6

In the future, match the main duties of your job with that of the corresponding NOC and if it doesn't meet the criteria for Type O or skill level A or B, then it won't qualify for CEC.

I looked it up, it really limits the jobs.. Can understand this government, people paid tuition fees, work and at the end cant apply as CEC. and refugee came live happy live, most of them cant even talk proper English.. unfair t international students

I understand you are upset but it's not fair to take it out on refugees. Many of them have had rough lives too. For starters, what did you study, if you don't mind sharing? I just looked at jobs similar to yours in Vancouver, Alberta & Mississauga and there doesn't seem to be an education requirement. Most(if not all) skilled jobs have an education requirement even if it's high school. It appears you are overqualified for what you do and could be getting more bang for your buck. Others may be able to give you more pointers. Keep your head up, it shall be well.
