Shipment Customs Fee - Spousal Sponsorship

Hi everyone,

I am sponsored by my husband, and I landed before and got the PR. I was away then, and now I am moving for good to Edmonton in a few months.

My question is that I have shipments, and I am wondering whether I'll have to pay custom fees. This is important to decide whether to ship my stuff or buy there instead. Also, if it makes a difference, if I ship it in advance and my husband received it instead of me!

I am getting different answers, and Im confused. Appreciate your help in clarifying this to me. Thanks,

Did you declare all of these items when you landed and became a PR?

I didnt. I wasnt asked at the immigration.

Plus I didnt know at that time what I want to ship to Canada yet and what not.
