A very good morning to you guys.

My Details:
App submitted: 31st Dec 2015
AOR : 7Th Jan 2016

My Question:
I am facing a lot of issues and problems in my current Organization. I have no other choice but to quit and move to another organization which I will be able to do easily. So keeping in mind that I have already waited around one month since I submitted my app and I need to serve 2 more months notice period, kindly do answer my questions:

1. Is it a good idea to quit now?
2. If I quit now, what are the various documents I need to re-submit to CIC?
3. Do I need to acquire a Job Description letter from the new company? If yes, keeping in mind that its a new organization and the HR will surely not issue one for me, can I ask a colleague to issue a JD for me? Should it be on a letter head, because I am pretty sure only the HR personnel will have letter heads. In this case what can I do?

Theoretically you can leave your current job the next day you file your eAPR or the day you get your AOR.

You don't need to submit anything to CIC, related to Job change after PR Application.

Thank you for your reply. Just want to confirm. Is this information, that we don't need to update anything to the CIC after receiving AOR, available anywhere in the official CIC website or in any application guides?

Yes.

IRCC explicitly asks you to update relevant changes including changes to family composition, marriage, divorce, language test expiry etc. Note that all of these have a material impact on your application.

Quitting your current job has no impact on your application unless it was an LMIA supported job that gave you 600 additional points leading to an ITA. IRCC doesn't care if you are employed or not. They would also not require any documents from your next employer because that job add nothing to your program eligibility and/or CRS hence is irrelevant to your current PR application.

Old post, but just read on IRCC Webform:
https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx

You may use this form if:
  • You have submitted an application or profile.
  • Your application has exceeded normal processing times. We will not respond to your enquiry if the application is within normal processing times.
  • You wish to report important changes, such as a change in contact information, births, deaths, marriages, divorces, adoptions, changes in employment, withdrawal of application, refund request, or urgent requests. If you are reporting a change in contact information, it will take 5 business days for it to be updated. During this time you should continue to monitor your old contact information.

I am strongly contemplating quitting my job and just want to understand the implication and process I need to follow for PR application, so that I can time my exit accordingly.

Is this still valid? I mean if I change my job now after i've submitted my application (AOR is 14th Dec) do I need to inform them about changed jobs and more importantly do I have produce the required set of documents from my new organisation? Also, do I need to inform them if I travel outside my home country after my application has been submitted?
