As everyone out here is only on FSW as of now, and due to the limitedness in numbers....I am afraid to say everyone over here may not make it for FSW :-X :'( :(
So for this reason, I would like to request all the forum enthusiasts to share their alternates to FSW :p :D ;D

yes expensive but the plus is that you dont have to show settlement funds in so n so many thousand dollars and yes once you get the invitation you can really celebrate! :)

I will try New Zealand. My partner works in IT, which is in high demand down there. :) But let's wait until mid-August, when I expect some news from Sydney.

if you don't have more than the 140 mark while submitting for the EOI which happens fortnightly. either you should have a job offer or at least with 6 years of work experience in your specified field.

No. For the SkillSelect you don't have to show settlement funds. The hard part is getting to that 60 point mark.

I heard from someone that for New Zealand, passmark is 100 but immigration are picking only those files which are above 140.

Australia might be the second alternative for most of them but the fees and living expenses are very high there. But the immigration process is very fast once you get an invitation.

like I said earlier, its possible with 140 other than that a job offer or any where near to 140 with a minimum of 6 years work experience.

Yeah you can apply to subclass 190 hoping to meet the required 60 points without 3+ years experience.
You will get 0 points if you have less than 3 years overseas experience.
Calculate how many points you are getting at htt p://w w w. immi.gov.au/skills/skillselect/index/visas/subclass-190/
If you are getting 60 points then you are eligible and you can apply. U get 5 points if you get nominated by state or territory govt.

cheers.

I heard even if I cross the 60 points mark getting nominated by the state, visa decision is entirely dependent on aus-immigration and the chances are very unlikely. is it true ? ?
