Hi All,
My wife and I are permanent residents of Canada. We are expecting our first child. My wife is 4 months pregnant right now and she is going to India for the delivery. We both are eligible for applying for Canadian citizenship.
My question is, should we go ahead and apply for Canadian Citizenship without waiting for the birth of a child or we should wait and apply after the baby is born?
If we apply before the baby is born, after birth do we need to add baby on application for citizenship? Will it delay the process? Will CIC raise any concerns?
Please note that baby will be having Indian passport due to Indian birth place.
I appreciate your valued opinions in this regard. Thanks!
