Hello everybody and thanks in advance for helping.
I am looking to get a TRV for my girlfriend who lives in Morocco. This is our first time doing anything like this before so I have a couple things that I need clarified.
I think that we have a very strong case because:
We are only asking for a 12 day visa
She has strong family ties to Morocco and I am her only tie to Canada
She has a full time job and helps support her family
I easily have enough assets to support her through her trip
Now, I have a couple questions about what I should all include in our application.
One of the requirements is that we prove our relationship. I have chat logs all the way back from when we first met, about 7 months ago. I was considering including some excerpts but I don’t want to inundate the Visa Officer with too much information. I was thinking about including some pictures of us together on my recent trip to visit her in Morocco and a copy of a love letter that I sent her. Will that be enough? I can also include Skype and Viber call logs if that will help.
Also, I will be wiring her $2500 to hold in her account to help her financial position. I will be disclosing this in my invitation letter. The money will be sitting her account for 2-4 weeks before we start the visa process Will it help her case? I will also say in my invitation letter that I will be completely financially responsible for her. I will be proving this by attaching my bank statements to the application as well.
I think that the one major hurdle that we have is that she has never traveled outside of Morocco before. I was thinking about discussing the reasons for this in the cover letter, would that be a mistake? Should I just not mention it?
Also, I am having trouble figuring out how to prove that her family is dependent on her income. Would a letter from her mom saying that she is dependent on her income be sufficient, I don’t feel like arranging an affidavit or anything like that. I am hoping that a letter along with her bank statements will be sufficient.
Lastly, I am wondering about the flight. Should I have the whole round trip flight booked and paid for or is a screenshot of the wanted flight plans enough. I am worried about dropping $1200 on a flight and losing it because of the visa being refused.
Thanks again for all your help
