Dear All,

I live in New Delhi India and work for a global Consulting firm. I had applied for Quebec 4 years back and haven't heard anything back from them.

After multiple rounds of interview, HR of a firm has come back to me showing interest in moving me to Vancouver. I have loads of question which I need to answer for myself in next 24-48 hours. Please share any input you might have:

1. Proposed salary is 85000 CAD basic plus perks. Is this sufficient for a family of 4? What would you say is the cost of living. Internet research says this should be OK.
2. What would they provide me: Work Visa or LMIA? I have mentioned to them that I have applied for Express Entry and thats why I am assuming that they might have thought about sharing LMIA, instead of work permit. Am I correct to have this udnerstanding? I expect to get an ITA in next couple of weeks as my score is 471. What are the advantages/ disadvantages.
3. If they apply for Work permit, will there be any issue because 4 years back I have shown interest in moving to Quebec and now I will be applying for Vancouver.
4. Will my Express Entry application suffer because 4 years back I have shown interest in moving to Quebec and now I will be applying for Vancouver
5. Should I take my Quebec application back? So that my work permit application or EE application is safe, both anyways have better chance of completion before quebec application.
6. Is there anything else that I need to be worried about. Anyone who has faced similar challenge, please share any challenges you faced.

Looking forward to hear from you people
Regards,
Srbhrn

1. No idea

2. To get a work permit, your employer has to apply for a LMIA (there are some exemptions). You can't get a work permit until the LMIA is approved.http://www.esdc.gc.ca/eng/jobs/foreign_workers/higher_skilled/index.shtml

3. 4. 5. Your CSQ application will have now bearing or effect.
