Dear all

I have applied under NOC 2131 and my application was received by CIC on 30th May 2014.
I have a 3 member family including me as the principal applicant.
In the settlement of funds box I mentioned $72000 a my funds and I have submitted my bank statements as proof of funds.
But I kept the Assets and Liability box unfilled, ie blank.
I am wondering if this is wrong and is there any way that I can notify CIC about it and my application doesnt get rejected
Please help with your valuable suggestion
Thank You

It is contrary to the instructions. You are supposed to disclose your assets, liabilities and settlement funds separately. However, it is probably not a critical error. There are some previous years applicants who did this and it wasn't a problem, but there is no guarantee of what will happen with your application. You should be prepared for your local visa office to ask you further questions.

Is it mandatory to submit bank statement as the source of fund? or one of these three would be fine.

current bank certification letter; or
evidence of savings balance; or
fixed or time deposit statements.

I agree with future_canadian on this. Not mentioning assets and liabilities should not be a critical error. The important part is the settlement funds, which you have mentioned and provided proof for. I would just wait until and if they ask anything. I don't think your application would be rejected due to that.

Bank statement is not mandatory if you can provide what CIC has listed there. Any one of those will be fine.
