Dear Experts,
Can the settlement fund be partially (about 30%) in a non-accompanying common law partner's bank account? Joint bank accounts for non-married couples are not allowed where I live, and she is not accompanying because we want that one of us settles down first before the other comes.
I can get a notarized letter (statuary declaration) from her that the funds can be used for settlement, but I'm not sure whether CIC allows funds in a non-accompanying partner's account. Please clarify.
