I am planning to move to Canada in a few months and had a query regarding the settlement funds. As you might be aware, I will need to show some minimum funds that will support me in Canada till I find a job. My question is, can I use these funds to purchase my flight ticket to Canada, or should I leave these funds untouched and purchase my ticket separately?

You should leave these funds untouched. It's possible you may be asked to show you have these funds upon landing. You'll also most likely find that you need all of these funds to support yourself for the first months you are in Canada.
