I will land in Canada soon as a PR. My question relates to settlement funds.

I don't want to bring too much cash and travelers cheques are a pain.

Can I simply show a printout of my online bank statement showing sufficient funds? It is time-consuming and troublesome for me to get an official stamped statement from my bank. Needless to say, I could, if necessary, log into my bank account in the presence of an immigration official to show that the account is live and the funds are accessible.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Another option can be Bankers Cheque or Bank draft payable in Canada. If your bank is Canadian bank may be bring a bank statement may be acceptable since the funds are already domiciled in Canada however, taking into consideration the huddles to cross in order to obtain PR especially in recent years, showing prove of funds(if you have it)should not be an issue
